5 Ways To Feel Good

Dear Parents and Carers,

I write to share with you some information from Stockport Council about a new campaign that has been launched to help people boost their mood.

5 Ways to Feel Good’ is a campaign based on five proven activities that can boost the mood of participants: connecting, getting active, learning something new, giving, and taking notice of our surroundings.

The campaign was launched in January, as seasonal affective disorder (SAD), affects around 2 million people in the UK (NHS Inform, 2022).  It aims to encourage residents to build the 5 Ways into their daily lives.

The Healthy Stockport website has a new campaign area for the 5 Ways to Feel Good, which features top tips, resident stories and local, weekly events that residents can join.
